Post-it Notes are great for jotting about reading Post-it Notes are great for jotting about reading because they allow students to mark the place in the book with evidence to justify their thinking. 

They are also great for activities like jotting 3-5 important words from the text and placing them in order of importance.

So, what’s the problem?  Post-it’s often end up on the floor, fall out of books, and may get used for other purposes that are not “teacher-approved”. 

I’ve definitely used my reading notebooks more this year, but I’m not ready to say goodbye to Post-it Notes. Sometimes, they’re definitely the best option.  What are your thoughts?

Today I realized we are down to 21 days of school. Today I realized we are down to 21 days of school. I am definitely having some mixed feelings now. I am looking forward to getting more quality time with my family and friends. I’m feeling anxious about “getting it all done”. I’m realizing that my time with this group is limited. After the past two years, I realized how much I love teaching in the classroom. I’m going to miss this group for sure!
